Once you remove the Turtle from your Lilypad to place onto the cribsheet or kimono, the Turtle should stop charging and move into a “I’m ready to start monitoring!” state. If you’re looking at the Live Monitor at the time, the view might change from “Charging” to “Idle” before the Turtle starts picking up data from the kimono/bodysuit or cribsheet.
If the app gets stuck on “Idle” after you place the Turtle onto the kimono (with the kimono on your baby) or cribsheet (if the baby’s lying on it), then one of a few things might be going on.
- The kimono or cribsheet just isn’t picking up enough data to let you know what’s going on. In this case, give another kimono or cribsheet a shot, to see if it’s a problem with that particular piece of Mimo gear.
- The Turtle’s accelerometer is having an off day. In this case, give us a call (877.415.6466) and we’ll take a look at what might be going on.
- The Turtle has roamed too far from the Lilypad. Bring it home! The ideal distance between the Turtle and the Lilypad is less than 6 feet.
Still having trouble? Give us a call and we’ll work through it with you.
